Welcome to the Town of Newfields, NH
Newfields is located along the banks of the Squamscott River. Our community is bordered by Newmarket to the north, Exeter to the south, Stratham to the east (separated by the Squamscott), and Epping to the west.
Newfields is accessible principally via Route 85 (Main Street/Exeter Road), which runs northeast between Routes 101 and 108, and via Route 87 (Piscassic Road) which runs east from Route 125. The town is 31 miles from Manchester, 12 miles from Portsmouth, and 11 miles from Hampton.
The village of Newfields includes the historic Newfields Country Store which has been a staple of the Newfields community since 1896, the Newfields Town Hall, the historic Paul Memorial Library, a non-profit community art center known as Main Street Art, the Newfields Community Church and the Newfields Post Office, all within close proximity along our Main Street corridor.
The Newfields Elementary School which is K-5th grade and the Newfields Fire Department are both located just off Main Street on Piscassic Road (Route 87). There are several historic cemeteries, a war memorial, a public boat launch, and a number of hiking/biking/conservation trails within the Newfields community. Through the efforts of the Newfields Conservation Commission, community leaders and community members, Newfields has been able to aquire parcels of land throughout our community for conservation preservation. These parcels serve as great recreational trails for families to enjoy and offer unique opportunities to view NH wildlife.
