Office Closures-Newfields

Effective March 18, 2020 the Town Office/Town Hall will be closed to public access out of an abundance of caution as our state and nation deals with the current health emergency associated with COVID-19. The Town of Newfields is committed to the continued health and optimal safety of our residents as well as our employees and we intend to do our part to "flatten the curve" of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although the Town will be closing public access to the Town Office/Town Hall, please know that the Town Clerk, Deputy Town Clerk and Town Office Assistant will still be working and available to assist residents via phone and email should questions arise or should residents need further assistance. Most resident transactions can be completed on line at www.newfieldsnh.gov or arranged via phone at 603-772-5070 or email. Staff will be on-site M-F 9 am to 2 pm to answer residents phone calls and/or emails.

Our Police and Fire Departments will continue to serve the residents of our Town on a "Business as usual" basis; however public access to both departments will be closed during this time. Residents requiring non-emergency police services will be encouraged to call the departments business line at 603-772-9010 to make arrangements for they require or utilize the "call box" outside of the police department. Residents with an emergency requiring police or fire services will be encouraged to call 9-1-1. Residents requiring non-emergency fire services will be encouraged to call the departments business line at 603-659-6636 which will be answered but Newmarket Police Dispatch.  The Town of Newfields has a dispatch contract for fire and police dispatch services with the Town of Newmarket. As a reminder, in the event of a fire or police related emergency please utilize 9-1-1.

At this time, Waste Management has not made the Town of Newfields aware of any changes impacting our municipal trash pick-up that occurs on Thursday mornings nor has the US Postal Service communicated any changes with respect to mail delivery.

Additionally, non-essential board meetings and committee meetings will be cancelled and/or rescheduled to a later date. Bi-weekly Select Board meetings will still occur as necessary to carry out business matters of the Town. The next scheduled Select Board meeting is not until April 7th.

The Paul Memorial Library will be closed from March 17-April 6th. Library Trustees reassess at that time and follow the guidance and recommendations of local, state, and federal officials.
