Vacant House Checks

The Newfields Police Department takes great pride in ensuring the welfare of our citizens. We are more than happy to check the security of your home should you leave for an extended period of time. Our officers generally check the residence daily for any signs of forced entry, unlocked doors, or any other physical signs that the security of the home has been breached while you are away. If something should happen while a resident is away, a call back person will be notified of the event.

In order to have your residence checked, the homeowner should either pick up or download a vacant house check request. The form should be filled out in its entirety and returned to the Newfields Police Department prior to your departure. The form can be downloaded from the forms page on our website. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact a representative of the Newfields Police Department anytime, or Administrative Assistant Maureen Smith and/or Chief Reed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
